Equipping small business owners with vital resources and technical assistance to unlock the full potential of AANHPI communities.

AANHPI small businesses are vital to local economies and cultural vibrancy. We partner with corporations, funders, and technical assistance providers to expand access to capital, coaching, and resources—empowering AANHPI entrepreneurs to grow, innovate, and thrive in today’s economy.
Via TAAF Cities, we are working to support small businesses through the following initiatives:
Seattle
- Through a partnership with the University of Washington Foster School of Business, TAAF is providing consulting and educational programming to a cohort of 30 local AANHPI small business owners from Seattle’s Chinatown International District and Little Saigon neighborhoods. The goal is to leverage the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup which is projected to bring 750,000+ visitors to Seattle.
- TAAF partnered with Intentionalist, a platform that encourages intentional spending at small businesses and amplifies diverse local communities, to support establishments across Seattle’s Chinatown-International District—including Chinatown, Japantown, and Little Saigon—driving foot traffic and consumer spending to historic AAPI neighborhoods.
New York City
- TAAF made a co-investment with corporate partner Jefferies in Welcome to Chinatown’s Small Business Innovation Hub, a first-of-its-kind community space located in the heart of Manhattan’s Chinatown. The Hub was created to empower small businesses, build bridges across the community, and promote sustainable growth. As a sponsor, TAAF supported the Hub’s mission to provide AAPI entrepreneurs with a welcoming space to access resources, foster innovation, and celebrate the creativity deeply rooted in the neighborhood.
