Unlocking Federal Resources for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Serving Organizations

The White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI),
the National Science Foundation (NSF), and TAAF are launching a webinar series aimed at demystifying
the federal grants process and bolstering technical assistance outreach to Asian American, Native
Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.

The project will convene representatives from federal agencies, nonprofit organizations, and philanthropies to:

  1. Identify federal grant programs and resources that impact Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) populations across various federal agencies and initiatives
  2. Support AA and NHPI nonprofit organizations through a series of skills-building technical assistance programs and webinars to learn how to prepare for, respond to, and apply for federal grant
    opportunities
  3. Inform strategies and actions to advance awareness and understanding of the federal grants process within AA and NHPI communities

Federal grant opportunities represent a secure funding source for organizations to conduct their programs to improve the lives of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. However, to qualify and be competitive for these opportunities, organizations must first take basic steps to be eligible to apply. This general session will set a foundational understanding and provide a roadmap to prepare your organization to apply for federal grants and strategies to consider before applying for a grant opportunity.

Representatives from federal agencies, nonprofit organizations, and philanthropy will share insights and tips to help community-based organizations access critical federal funding opportunities.
